The oldest planar condemnations, preserved in fractured Celestial reliquaries and pre-draconic ruin-slabs, refer to Dark Speech only as **“the Unuttered”** — a set of sounds and structures that did not arise from any plane, but accompanied the first recorded **breaches of ordered reality**. Where Abyssal emerged alongside demons and Deep Speech with the Far Realm, Dark Speech appears only in records describing **the failure of early ontological frameworks** — moments when reality briefly lost its capacity to consistently define what a thing was. Dark Speech is therefore not associated with a realm. It is associated with **cosmic error**. Many theologians believe Dark Speech is not a language in itself, but the **residual grammar of a universe that did not stabilise**. --- ## II. Historical Manifestations Dark Speech has never had a culture of native speakers.
