Its needle never points north, but instead turns toward what Qwimby truly seeks — though not always in the way he expects. Sometimes it points to beauty, sometimes to danger, sometimes to truth. Sailors whisper it was made from a shard of Selûne’s tear, dropped into the sea to guide wayward souls. --- ### Abilities **True Bearing.** Once per long rest, Qwimby can focus on the compass to cast _Locate Object_ or _Locate Creature_ without components. The compass needle always shifts and trembles as though alive. **Currents of Fate.** When Qwimby rolls a failed ability check, saving throw, or attack roll, he may flip the compass lid and reroll. The new roll must be taken. Usable Once per long rest **Sailor’s Refuge.** While holding the compass, Qwimby and up to 6 allies can breathe underwater and gain a swim speed equal to their walking speed for 10 minutes.
