**Race:** Half-Elf **Female** **Dark brown hair** Nessa was left at the edge of the swamp when she was very young. She does not remember who left her there, only silver embroidery on a blanket, the smell of rain, and the old woman who found her waiting in the reeds. The hag raised Nessa to gather herbs, sort strange roots, and tend to things growing in the marsh. She learned which plants healed, which poisoned, and which should never be touched at all. The swamp became the only world she knew. Unlike some of the others, Nessa was not treated cruelly every day, which made it harder to understand she was captive at all. It was the older children who taught her the truth. When Sordia Vignti came, Nessa did not want to leave at first. The swamp was frightening. But it was familiar. Now she keeps seeds in her pockets, speaks softly to plants when she thinks no one is listening, and still wakes some nights thinking she hears the marsh calling her home. But she is beginning to understand, Home can be something you choose.
