Family: Sister Ellette
## **A Sister’s Vengeance**
> [!abstract] **GUILD ARCHIVE • PERSONAL HISTORY**
>Nissa Celestriaire was never meant to be a warrior. She was the quiet one, the **scholar of House Celestriaire**, more interested in books and secrets than blades and battle. She was content to let her sister, **Ellette**, be the wild and reckless one, the one who clashed with their father and defied tradition.
But then **Visidera died.**
The **ancient Amethyst Dragon**, the guardian of their family, the one who had watched over House Celestriaire since its founding—**slain.** And the only name spoken in whispers, the only one accused of that unthinkable crime, was **Ellette.**
Nissa **couldn’t believe it.** Didn’t want to. But when she looked at the Fey courts, when she looked at their father’s grief-stricken face, at their mother’s silence—**she knew what she had to do.**
If Ellette had truly **betrayed their family,** if she had done the impossible, **then it was Nissa’s duty to stop her.**And so, she ran.
Not as a frightened child, but as a **hunter.**
She left the **Feywild** behind, stepping into the **Material Plane** for the first time, her heart filled with vengeance.
**She would find her sister.**
**She would bring her to justice.**
And if Ellette truly was the monster they claimed?
**Nissa would kill her.**
## **The Hunt for Ellette**
> [!abstract] **GUILD ARCHIVE • PERSONAL HISTORY**
>Tracking Ellette was **not easy.**
The Material Plane was a different world, chaotic and unfamiliar, and **Nissa was not prepared for it.** She had never known hunger before. Had never known exhaustion, or cold, or fear of mortal wounds. The Feywild had sheltered her from all of that.
But vengeance kept her going.
She followed rumours, stories of **a sorcerer with dragon’s blood**, of **a girl who fought like a storm and burned like amethyst light.** Every town she passed through had a different tale, but the truth was always there, just beneath the surface.
**Ellette was alive.**
**And Nissa was getting closer.**
She trained in combat, honed herself into something sharper, more dangerous. **She wasn’t the same girl who had once hidden behind books.**
She **became the weapon** her family needed.
And then, finally, after months of chasing shadows, she **found Ellette.**
But she was not alone.
## **The Battle Against Sordia Vignti**
> [!abstract] **GUILD ARCHIVE • PERSONAL HISTORY**>
>Nissa’s confrontation with **Ellette and Sordia Vignti** was not a reunion. **It was war.**
She had spent too long believing her sister was the villain. Too long preparing for this moment. There was **no chance for words, no plea for understanding.**
**She attacked.**
The fight was brutal. **Sordia Vignti were no ordinary warriors, and Ellette had become something far stronger than the girl Nissa had once known.** Magic clashed against steel, fire against ice, vengeance against survival.
Nissa held her own. But she was **one against many.**
And then came **Morgar.**
The Dragonborn wizard was relentless, precise. **His magic tore through her defenses,** and before she could react—**she fell.**
The last thing she saw was **Ellette’s face**, twisted in shock, grief, something she couldn’t understand.
And then, **everything went dark.**
## **Resurrection and Forgiveness**
> [!info] **GUILD RECORD**
>Nissa should have stayed dead.
But **death does not always hold those who still have a role to play.**
Some time later, **she was resurrected.**
When she woke, she was not in the Feywild, nor in some prison awaiting judgment.
She was **in Sordia Vignti’s keep.**
Ellette had not let her go.
And for the first time, **Nissa listened.**
Not to the whispers of the Fey courts, not to the weight of her family's expectations—**but to her sister.**
And what she heard broke her.
Ellette had not betrayed their family. The truth of **Visidera’s death** was far more complex than the simple tale Nissa had believed. The world was **not black and white, not hero and villain.**
And Ellette? **Ellette had never stopped loving her.**
For the first time, Nissa felt the weight of what she had done—not just to herself, but to Ellette.
So she let go.
She let go of the vengeance, the hate, the idea that she had to be her family’s executioner.
And for the first time in a long time, **she stayed.**
## **The Book and the Price of Knowledge**
> [!info] **GUILD RECORD**
>Nissa was not a warrior, not like Ellette. That had never been who she was meant to be.
And so, in the quiet halls of Sordia Vignti’s keep, she returned to what she had always loved: **knowledge.**
She poured over ancient texts, explored the hidden corners of the Material Plane, and in doing so, she found **a book.**
Not just any book.
A tome stolen from her father’s **personal vault** in the Feywild—a **forbidden text of elemental chaos magic.** She had taken it before she fled, believing it held secrets that could aid her.
But in studying it, **something changed.**
The book was more than just knowledge—it was **a prison for something ancient, something raw and wild.** And when she **opened its pages fully, its magic latched onto her.**
Her right arm became **a conduit for unstable, uncontrollable magic.** It pulsed with chaotic energy, shifting unpredictably—sometimes wreathed in frost, sometimes burning with embers, sometimes flickering in and out of reality itself.
It wasn’t a blessing. It wasn’t power. **It was a curse.**
But unlike before, **she did not run.**
Now, she studies it. **She learns.** Because **this time, she will control it.**
And if the magic within her is a prison, **then she will find the key.**
## **A New Purpose**
> [!info] **GUILD RECORD**
>Nissa no longer hunts Ellette.
She no longer fights for a family who cast her out.
Now, she fights **for herself.**
She does not know what the book’s magic is leading her toward. She does not know if she can ever truly control it.
But she does know one thing:
She has a sister again. A family again. And **this time, she will not waste it.**

#### After the Jump
##### **Nissa – A New Chapter**
Freed of her curse, Nissa finally had the space to _live_. Her love with Graxen deepened into family, and she bore their child during the year. She poured herself into their home, but also into the life of the keep: helping with refugee families, aiding Jess with childcare, and serving as a voice of calm in council. For Ellette, her sister’s happiness was a balm; for Graxen, her presence was a fire to fight for.
