Winterfest at Alexandria, the party are in the main hall of the keep in high spirits Scab walks through the front door wearing a Father Winter outfit. He brings more gifts. Introduced to Kyo and Orlan. He takes out a box that seems to have a winter wonderland inside. He clicks his fingers and we get transported into the boxed wonderland, transformed into creatures of this world. Ellette - Snowborn Steve - Elf Orlan - tree person Kyo - Bipedal white fox Kyo and Steve taste the gingerbread houses, they all freak out about their new bodies. Ellette and Kyo figure out they have no magic but Steve has magic. There's a bard with a sign saying "in here!!" We all head inside. It's warm and smells fantastic there's food everywhere. An elf is running around panicking as the room isn't ready for the guests. Steve and Orlan offer to help, our first task is 'deck the hall'. Kyo punches a wall reading this. The garlands along the wall are a mess. Theres ladders by the walls that look kinda rickety. Kyo tried to carry Ellette up but she fell off. Orlan and Steve team work a ladder and move between spots to hang theirs up. Kyo hangs up one on his own with little effort. Ellette helps Kyo and Orlan. When moving to another spot Steve falls from the top of her ladder and is caught by Kyo. The team work together hanging another garland, an elf walks under the ladder and the garland falls on his head he panics knocking the ladders over making Ellette fall again. Kyo gets mad at the Elf and makes them climb the ladder to hang up the garland. He fails while climbing up panicking and falls, Orlan tries to catch him, he manages to stop the fall but the elf is knocked out. The first elf seems upset but we ignore it and continue to hang the garlands. Ellette is very bad at this. An elf arrives early and judges them harshly. Kyo walks over pretending to be a servant, the elf is led outside and dunked into a horse troph. We complete this job. The next job; Scullery Recovery We go into the back room and all the pots and pans, cutlery, decanters, china are dancing and running around the room. We're given a description of the set needed. Kyo squares up and roars at them "weapons listen!" There's a moment of silence as they all look towards Kyo and begin laughing. Ellette looks for glitter and tries to coax the cutlery into the pot. A mistletoe plate is in the corner wearing a paper hat, Orlan tries to talk to him and the plate responds by throwing meatballs at him. Orlan causes a stack of plates to fall to the ground. Orlan grabs the plate and Kyo threatens the cutlery again. The delf begins to panic running around screaming and crying. Orlan puts his plate into the pot and the rest join him. Steve sees the mistletoe forks crying on top of a stack of wobbly plates, she walks over and greets them. Kyo sees the knives, he picks up one and it just screams at him, he dunks it in the pot as the rest attack his ankle. Kyo turns and picks them up dumping them into the pot. Steve tries to coax the forks down, they throw a meatball at her. Kyo asks Ellette for a fork, he walks over to beside Steve and threatens the mistletoe forks by bending the old fork in half, the throw a meatball at him and he tries to swallow the dry meatball. The forks get in a line and then swan dive into the pot. Ellette looks under the pot and finds the spoons, like scared foxes. Ellette grabs one and two of them hug and bite her. She stands up and drops the one with the crown into the pot. They are cleaned and the cutlery then sets itself up on the tables. Outside it sounds like there are horses kicking off with panicked sounds of elf. There's an elf trying to control two big horses, Jingle and Jangle. Orlan walks over and touches the horses he sees what scared them in his minds eye a monster with horns. Orlan shares this and the elf faints. Orlan and Kyo grab their reins and then lead them back to their stalls. Ellette looks for footprints of small creature there big canine footprints, they seem to leave the area into a dog house with 'Toffee' written above it. She looks inside and theres a St. Bernard. She tries to bribe the dog with rations he doesn't like it. Steve manages to coax it out and we see the collar is broken. Steve mends the collar and the dog looks towards the stables. Steve walks over and finds a big bone with Toffee written on it, she gives it to the dog who seems happy now. Carriages start arriving the first one has six people who ignore the party. The music begins inside. We head in, some people are happy enough some are judging our work harshly. A humanoid stands near the door and clicks his fingers, the pudding stand and start laughing maniacally and begin the wreck the place. -FIGHT- And by fight I mean we ate the puddings while they threw balls at us. The people cheer for us and toss coins at us appreciating the performance. The first elf walks up to us, "I shouldn't trust stranger's recipe for pudding anymore" "They gave me an old book with glowing runes for the pudding recipe" Steve points out the shadowy figure, "The Grump". He's called that because he's grumpy. He might have seasonal depression. We're told where The Grump lives. They don't like Winterfest. "Bah grumpy!" Artum
