- The following morning, we all convene at the breakfast table in the hall - Before joining us, Torvek embarks on a training regime - Ellette suggests that Steve approach Zoltan and ask that he alter the writing on her axe to say "Big Guy's True Love" - As we talk, the Meep joins us. Droxic approaches it, offering it some bacon. The Meep does not seem impressed - Having frowned repeatedly at Graxen, it then turns to leave. Ellette and Graxen discuss the likelihood that it is a godling - as mentioned by Elminster - As we continue to talk, a commotion breaks loose outside. A goblin holding a half eaten pancake runs into the hall, being chased by the Meep. - Ellette grabs Moggie (the goblin) - Moggie complains that the Meep was eating the pancake in the dirt - which angered him as he was the one who baked the pancakes - Ellette and Steve convince Moggie to return the pancake to the Meep - but he is dejected, believing his cooking to be unappreciated. - A goblin beneath the table is stealing cutlery. This is Tiddle, who is a kleptomaniac and enjoys shiny things. She dislikes rust and being caught stealing - Another goblin hands Graxen a pickle in a jar before heading towards the kitchen - Another goblin tugs at Ellette's sleeve - before asking about the "hairy thing". This is revealed to be the Meep - whom he has made a vest for. - Ellette suggests giving the vest to Nissa as a present for the Meep. She fey steps up to the rafters, convincing Nissa to join us down at the table - Nissa takes the vest from the goblin - who is named Tib - Tib admires Jess - and aspires to be a tailor himself. He specialises in making little outfits for tiny creatures and does not like giant spiders stealing his threads - Another goblin waves to us from behind a nearby door. This one is covered in soot. He trades Graxen a box for his pickle. The box explodes in his face when Graxen opens it. - A goblin knocks at the door - requesting to fish in the nearby river. Ellette warns her to be aware of Rasp. This is Kixie and is an expert at fishing and swimming. - A goblin - who appears to be sick - approaches asking for herbal teas. Ellette advises it to speak to Moggie. This is Nara, who is constantly sneezing but always appears cheerful. - Torvek speaks with Derek -wishing to join him and the children in the training area. - Ellette charges Derek with tasking the children to test Torvek's patience as an effort to improve it. - Derrick sends the children barrelling towards Torvek with the challenge of finding out who can be the first to bring him to the ground - Wen refuses to join in the chasing - instead deciding to punch Torvek in the ankle when he gets too close - Graxen uses his Blood Curse of Binding to restrain Torvek. Wen instantly pounces, pummelling his ankle as the other chicken dog pile him. - Wen claims Torvek as her kill - Torvek speaks with Derek afterwards, learning that Wen once attempted to break his nose - in an imitation of Ellette. - Derek agrees to pass a number of children's history books onto Graxen when he has finished using them to teach the kids - We approach Big Guy - who is angrily chopping down trees. - Ellette speaks with him. He is still displeased about the name on Steve's new axe - which he is now using to fell the trees. - He mentions attempting to break the axe in half, but failing. - Ellette tries to convince him that Zoltan will change the writing to reflect Steve and Big Guy's love. Big Guy demonstrates his inability to bend Grott's axe - seeming to believe Zoltan's efforts will have no affect upon it. - Big Guy urges a need for Steve to recover her hammer. He shows Ellette a diamond engraved with "B + D" that he intended to be inset into her original hammer - Big Guy believes someone in Neverwinter may be able to unearth the hammer, for a price - Big Guy wishes for the writing on the axe to be altered into "Bhaldrous' True Love" - We next approach Zoltan - who has maintained his sobriety. - Ellette asks about altering the writing on the axe - He identifies the axe as enchanted. He suggests dispelling the magic to alter the writing - but this will remove the axe's magic. - An attempt to cover over the writing is ineffective as it burns through the leather wrapped over it - Zoltan instead suggests submerging the axe in fire-steal. This will change it considerably, and also result in upgrading the forge - It would cost 2,000 GP to upgrade Zoltan's forge alone - not including the materials - Each of the enchanted elements he can use to upgrade weapons would cost an additional 500 GP - This would amount to 12,000 GP total - Ellette considers this, but wishes to evaluate the cost of building houses for the numerous refugees now living at the keep, a new paddock for farm animals and possibly training dummies - Evette values these requests at - 500 GP per house (2 people per household) - 3,000 GP for a farm which can accommodate 2 people - a large open plan hostel would cost 3,000 GP and accommodate 12 people - Steve and Graxen are keen on the idea of hosting a dance in an effort to encourage couples to form amongst the refugees so as to save on the cost of building individual houses - Evette has a number of supplies - which will reduce the costs. She reckons it will take two months to build 4 houses, 3 farms and 2 hostels at a total cost of 12,000 GP. - Ellette agrees, taking the cost from the keep's funds - Another 12,000 GP of the keep's funds is then cleared for Zoltan to upgrade the forge - Ellette next wishes to speak with Quincy - She asks about buying chickens for the farm. Quincy agrees to make arrangements for the arrival of merchants. - Fizzle sits at the bar - missing his hat. - He seems depressed. He claims to no longer be a wizard, as he cannot spell. A piece of paper nearby contains illegible scrawlings - Torvek writes a letter for Fizzle, proclaiming him to be a good wizard. Fizzle's depression grows as he cannot read it - Steve sits beside Fizzle, attempting to console him. She assures him that - despite not being able to spell herself, she can use magic. Casting Magic Stone, she throws the resulting enchanted rock at Torvek's head. The glowing rock hits, lightly hurting Torvek - Fizzle reveals himself to be 15. - Fizzle gazes at a bottle of golden liquid, lamenting that it is the first golden potion he has ever created - This is his bajum dopis - Steve agrees to drink some of the potion in an effort to cheer up Fizzle - Her nose explodes from her face - with six bags of 100 GP bursting from the wound - Graxen agrees to drink a second potion, which is purple - This forces him to uncontrollably dance, like a monkey for two hours - We convince Fizzle that he is an alchemist, which pleases him enough to place his hat back on his head - He proceeds to create one more potion, which renders him covered in glitter. The liquid shines with iridescence - Ellette claims this potion, agreeing to drink it so as to continue to bolster Fizzle's confidence - This seems to cause her to feel some manner of effect, but nothing overtly obvious happens - Her tongue and a flame she creates through magic both shimmer with different colours - Fizzle pledges to find an alchemist apprentice - As Ellette walks out of the tavern, an iridescent aura springs from her footsteps - Ellette fetches Nissa to observe the effects of the potions - Steve attempts to apologise to Nissa for inadvertently killing Graxen. Nissa calls for Bob, who **admonishes** Steve for speaking ill of a Beholder after invading its home
