Kyo sniffs around Qwimby investigates the area. Odd damp smell, like a seaside and salt water. Footprints leading them out. Ellette asks Isolde to reopen the portal. Only one way. We are at a coast somewhere between Luskan and Alexandria. There is a cave nearby closed by a big door. There are similar engravings on the door. Qwimby knocks the door and gets knocked back, the door doesn't like spells. Qwimby looks at bone hole pedestal, there are etched runes on the tongue The Ash one, smells faintly like parchment no visible writing The Wax one, is smooth The iron one, little tiny engraving like vows to Vecna Kyo takes the wax tongue and tries to put it in place, it's kinda warm places it in the hole and the doo opens. We walk inside, a dark chamber with blue lighting, banners with the symbol and low chants heard in the distance. Kyo takes a moment to think, walking forward, the pillars have lines of darts along each side there's loose panelling's around the room that looks like pressure plates Ellette casts arcane eye There are 5 guys three chanting at grimoires, the man in the middle is facing us. Unable to locate the meep. There's a loose wall at the end of the room. Devine sense tells Kyo no undead but necrotic energy from pillars and books. Echo is humming through the room Ellette casts fly on Steve. Kyo attempts to set off a pillar, twice in each direction The pillars make no sound. Kyo sets off a second one while Ellette sets off the first again. The three guys die to darts, Steve flies to a pillar in an attempt to break it. Top of the pillar breaks and falls on one of the cultists. There is still no sound. "Is he flat now on the ground like a cartoon?" - Sarah 2025 She swan-ton-bomb's(?) one of the other guys. "Stand at the top, do the Jeff Hardy ~*kiss* and jump " She then turns the other guy into a fine paste. We join Steve At the end of the room to look at the books. Kyo looks through one it seems to be a crushed journal Steve lifts the pillar off of it. When Kyo touches the book he takes some damage with visions of Vecna and his followers. He is briefly cursed, advantage on next attack but takes damage on first attack. Ellette uses bedroll to touch book gets the same visions and curse. Steve tries to be fancy and tosses the pillar in the air to let it go. (Spoiler, she rolled a hat 1) It lands on her foot, no one hears it happen but now she has a limp. "A loose wall in a doory way" Shane 2025 Qwimby tries to use knock on the door but with the silence the spell fails to cast. Kyo looks at the corpses. They all have no eyes and seem to have replaced their left hands. Steve punches the wall in a Thor like fashion. The wall caves in and we walk through the hole. There is a giant spectral hand with an eye like the symbol in the middle of the room. The eye is focused on Ellette. There are symbols of arcane language on the floor. Qwimby sees writing on the ceiling "Stand where you must not be seen, seen where you must not stand and the hand shall release you" Qwimby stands on a symbol and gets punished away towards the wall. The eye is now focused on Kyo. Kyo stands under the hand and takes a lot of damage. While looking at Ellette she stands on a symbol and it powers down. Ellette moves to another one and gets hurt. Big room meep is on a slap. There is 6 guys surrounding him behind a force field. There is a big priest in front of the force field. FIGHT. Guys are dead. We walk over to the meep who stands up and jumps off the platform, he waddles over to Kyo and hugs him picking him up. Kyo sees a vision showing his power was being transferred to Vecna. Kyo heals him and we all go home.
