- Droxic and Torvek's corpses both return to their feet, shambling towards us in blackened shadows as three other shades appear around us - Each of the shadowy creatures lurch towards us, attacking - Graxen, in werewolf form, slashes at Torvek but it appears to reassemble itself - Steve swings her axe at Torvek - appearing to do extra damage with its radiant damage - Ellette melts the body of Droxic with an acidic chromatic orb - causing only her spirit to remain - After Ellette's attack, one of the shadowed creatures begins to chant. An Orc paladin joins the battle, crossing the nearby bridge - The Orc immediately aids us, using Turn Undead against the shadow wraiths - Torvek's body dissipates in this attack - As the battle continues, all of the wraiths begin to chant. This causes a portal to open - pulling through all of the ghosts, and the remains of Torvek and Droxic - Ellette follows through the portal, with all following - We emerge in a long corridor - The Orc introduces himself as Orlan - He was raised in a monetary of monks - He worships Mystra - who led him to Luskan, tasking him with finding a party to prevent a vision she bestowed upon him - He saw a vision of the sky rippling in red, with the stars falling from the sky - We move onwards, coming to a much larger room with stone walls - dimly lit by torches - Undead creatures shamble about this area - We immediately engage these creatures, joined by again - During this fight, a cat perches on a nearby pillar - watching us - The cat charges at one of the zombies, joining us against them - After the fight, the cat mends one of Ellette's boots - having accidentally scratched it in the scuffle - After the battle, the group attempt to communicate with the cat - Steve uses Speak with Animals to talk to the cat, but as it responds all of the group can understand it - The cat claims to have been following a lead - searching for someone - The cat in named Kyo, and travelled from the west - travelling for about 32 days after seeing a dragon - The dragon was blue and seemed to be flying east - Kyo is searching for the person who killed his mistress - but does not know who killed her - A friend of the family returned with his mistress' possessions (her focus and her armour) - which were all broken - At the far end of the hall are two wooden doors - Kyo pushes open these doors -finding a room with seven identitcal statues, each are holding different coloured orbs - 1 red orb - 2 orange orb - 3 yellow orb - 4 green orb - 5 blue orb - 6 purple orb - 7 pink orb - The podium in the middle has a golden orb - Graxen touches the green orb - Statue 4 says the correct orb is held by the statue two places from me - "Only one statue will tell the truth" - Kyo touches the golden orb. It asks for a colour, he guesses green but this appears to be incorrect. The orb hurts Kyo in response - Orlan touches the red orb (1) - "The statue that speaks the truth is numbered higher than 3" - The yellow statue speaks (3) - "The safe orb is not in the odd numbered statue" - Purple orb (6) - "Statue 3 is a liar" - Orange orb (2) - "The statue across from me (6) lies" - Pink orb (7) - "One of my neighbours speaks the truth" - Blue orb (5) - "Statue 6 always lies" - Purlple is the correct answer - unlocking the door to the next room - In the next room, we find a large weighing scales. One end is fully descended. There appears to be a magical aura holding it down - There is a sad face at the end of the hallway - "Balance" is carved into the side of the scales - Touching one of the orbs in the scale hurts Graxen - The orbs are very dense magic, with magical tendrils that appear to be reaching into each of us. Each gives off a shade of blue - Touching the orb that is attached to Ellette causes her to perceive a sense of burdon - Orlan touches the orb tethered to him and also feels burdoned - Kyo attempts to use Mending on the orb attached to him - This gives Kyo a feeling of brief warmth as the orb faintly glows - Graxen sense Divination Magic coming from the orbs - Kyo Misty Steps into the far side of the scales but this also causes damage - Graxen offloads his trauma, regarding his lost brother, his feelings towards his mother and his fear of himself in his werewolf form, to his orb - causing the tether to shrink, before finally breaking. His orb dissipates - Kyo whispers about feeling lonely to his orb - Orlan laments being an orphan who was abandoned as a child - with insecurities stemming from this - Steve mourns her family, but mentions that she would not give up what she has now. She goes on to mention being concerned about her recent marriage troubles - Ellette speaks of firmly believing it is her fault that Radigan and the royal family are dead along with all of Alexandria. She goes on to list all the names of people she associates with internal guilt. - Unloading all of our burdons causes the scale to balance out. The sad face at the back of the room cracks and dissipates. - In the next room, we find 7 glowing orbs - mirrored by 7 empty pedestals. A large demon bars the door on the far side, his arms crossed - 1. green - Ellette senses the feywild - 2. Purple - Graxen senses the shadowfell - 3. Red/orange - elemental plane of fire - 4. Gold with white warmth - Celestial - 5. Sickly green/black - abyss - 6. Mettalic grey/copper - Mechanis - 7. Multicolours - limbo - The demon speaks, "what's my name" - The demon's name is Mesclaf, guessing this correctly causes it to dissappear as the door behind him opens - This brings us into a long, narrow corridor - Follow the ancient path, a single mistep brings ruin - Using Detect Magic, Orlan sees the slabs ahead of us in a mix of gold, silver, black and white - 1. Gold - 2. Silver - 3. Black - 4. White - The ceiling is completely black - Using her Arcane Eye, Ellette can see a tiny carving on the first safe tile - it is the elven word for "ancient" - The same word is repeated on the next safe tile - Arcane Eye guides us safely across the corridor, there is a locked door on the far side - Steve breaks down this door - leading us into a small room -
