- Having concluded our conversation with Fizzle, Ellette leaves to affirm that Rasp not eat him
- Steve wishes to speak with Moggie about baking a pie
- Moggie stands on a stool making a stew, with the Meep looking into the pot.
- Moggie convinces Steve that it would be more meaningful if she makes a roast herself
- He needs garlic, potatoes, lamb and a green veggie
- Steve meets with Erin to ask after these ingredients
- Erin provides Steve with two cloves of garlic and two onions in a bucket
- She also offers a block of tofu
- Next, she gives Steve a bag of potatoes
- For the final ingredient, she gives Steve two large green carrots
- Having finished with Steve, Erin meets Droxic for the first time - learning how she communes with the stars
- Steve and Graxen then speak with Droxic, learning about the nature of speaking with stars
- Droxic asks Erin about the tree growing into the keep. Erin identifies this as the Karrut tree
- Erin: "No, no Karrut with a k"
- Steve: "Sweetie, I'm illiterate"
- Graxen dispells the worries of the group by assuring the others that he came from a regular humanoid birth
- At the Lucky Gryphon, Steve approaches Quincy seeking lamb
- Quincy is unable to help, having no lamb to offer
- He then speaks of Fizzle being "set off" - and in the process of brewing more potions
- Fizzle charges after us as we leave, brandishing two different colour potions - but is unable to catch up to us before the doors close
- A goblin runs up to the group - the one Graxen earlier saw stealing cutlery. He speaks of a "big thing" in the water
- He specifies "big boatsis"
- He leads us towards the dock - where a massive ship is just offshore. We recognise it as the vessel of the Five Pirate Kings of Luskan.
- A small tugboat approaches the shoreline, where Squeeb stands guard with his crew of ducks.
- Two figures are visible in the boat
- One of the figures calls out requesting permission to dock to deliver a message of parlay from the five kings.
- As the boat gets closer, we see that the one steering the boat is skeletal.
- The messenger is a smoking hot half elf
- He introduces himself as Corvath Dreglar
- He has been dispatched to request our assistance in restoring Luskan
- The pirate kings have been protecting the seas
- He speaks of two white dragons fighting a kind of territorial war, attacking the ships in the ocean
- The pirate kings claim to have been defending Luskan against the advances of these dragons
- Ellette expresses a distain for the kings and their lack of presence while Luskan was attacked
- Dreglar is confused at the mention of Zargathax, believing the town was attacked by one of the white dragons
- Dreglar speaks of a dragon falling into the remnants of Luskan after being shot from the sky
- Ellette bargains for support from the five kings should we deliever on their terms
- Graxen asks about the wizard's tower, learning that the plummeting dragon crashed into the tower on its way down
- Dreglar mentions a 10,000GP bounty a piece on each of the heads of the wizards
- Graxen: "Oh....assholes....we have those in Barovia"
- The kings cannot dock in Luskan as the waters have changed - a crystalline growth forming below the waves
- Dreglar mentions it has been six days since they shot down the dragon, and he is almost certain it is still alive
- Dreglar offers us an advance payment - the skeleton approaches with two bags of coins.
- Squeeb draws his pistol, aiming at the skeleton. Dreglar draws a sword in response
- Ellette disarms the situation - with Dreglar then confirming himself to be the only messenger currently reporting to the five kings, making his survival paramount
- The skeleton offloads his two bags.
- We have been paid 40,000GP in advance.
- There will be a further 40,000GP upon the completion of our goals in Luskan
- Dreglar also asks which materials we require to be included in the bargain
- As we continue to talk, a goblin appears behind us - the teal one who enjoys fishing
- Dreglar agrees to speak with Zoltan and Evette to learn what may be required in the keep.
- He asks if the fishing goblin is one of ours, seeming perterbed by her perpetual staring
- Graxen attempts to disarm Squeeb but gets stabbed in the leg for his trouble
- Dreglar enters the keep - followed closely by Squeeb and his crew of ducks
- Graxen departs the keep to hunt a deer with Rasp - in place of lamb for Steve's pie
- This proves difficult owing to the effect of Squeeb's numbing poison on his legs
- Despite his difficulties, Graxen manages to return with a deer
- Moggie is confused, but agrees to cook with the ingredients we have scavenged. He continues to insist that he'll make a roast
- He hands Steve a small mallet - asking that she tenderise the meat
- Steve aggressively "hammers" the venison with the hammer shaped object
- Steve spends time with Big Guy while Graxen reconciles with Nissa.
- Droxic finds the single apple that grows on the Karrut tree - as mentioned by Erin
- Torvek continues to practice in the training arena
- Ellette mingles amongst the refugees
- Droxic eats the apple from the Karrut tree
- Having spent two hours to ourselves, we begin preparations for departing towards Luskan
- We leave for Luskan the following morning
- On the way, Torvek holds out the stone previous thrown at him by Steve.
- He uses Elemental Sculpt - creating a small clay man which he then gifts to Steve.
- Arriving at Luskan, we hear no sign of the fallen dragon
- We hear the faint sounds of mettalic scratching - which is both quiet and echoing
- We proceed towards the wizard's tower. The first bridge has collapsed, forcing us to use the second - passing through Blood Island. We catch a glimpse of a wing on the other side of the bridge.
- Using Arcane Eye to look under the bridge, Ellette finds a large number of the spiders that previously attacked Graxen - all are now dead.
- The Arcane Eye approaches the wing. It is covered in the crystalline growth and appears to have been torn from the creature's body.
- The rubble of the wizard tower lies next to the severed wing
- Graxen uses Grim Pyschometry, touching the wing - and perceiving a vision through the dragon's eyes as it fell to the ground.
- He feels a tear in the creature's body. After it collides with the wizards' tower, he can see a number of robed figures standing over it and gazing down as the dragon loses consciousness
- Touching the wing has infected Graxen with the crystalline growth
- Proceeding onwards, Droxic uses Elevated Sight - catching a glimpse of a large dragon with three wings soaring above us
- A large dragon lands in front of us, with two wings on one side and a single wing on the other
- The dragon immediately attacks
- During the fight, the dragon uses a Command Word to make Graxen dive into the nearby water. Unable to resist, he is compelled to dive beneath the freezing waves and swim
- After a gruelling battle, the dragon dissipates into mist. In this form, it kills Droxic and Torvek before evaporating entirely
- Using Arcane Eye, Ellette sees shadowed figures with red eyes hovering above the town. All of these figures flee when they realise they are being seen - but one remains above Torvek
- This creature appears to be lingering, haunting Torvek's remains. Ellette calls out to it, brandishing her sword
- The spirit bears down on Torvek - seeming to grasp at him. Ellette hacks at it with her blade
- The spirit splits in half, with one of the halves disappearing inside Torvek's body
- Panicked, she chops off his leg as it appears to blacken. Small, black tendrils extend from the wound. The severed leg, also growing tendrils, scurries into the water
- His flesh turning an ashen grey, Torvek's eyes flicker open
- Graxen lifts Droxic's body onto his shoulder, hearing ghostly whispering as he does. Sharing Ellette's panic, he charges towards Steve
- Steve sees the spirit clinging to Droxic's body
- The spirit slithers inside Droxic's mouth. Her eyes glow red, her leg also growing the black tendrils
- Steve swings her axe, but fails to sever Droxic's leg. The growth continues, taking the first leg and growing onto the other.
- The tendrils burst from Droxic's leg - protecting itself as Steve continues to swing
- The tendrils grow over all of Droxic's body - rearranging her bones with a crunching and cracking sound. Her colouring is rendered a pale teal - and her sunken eyes also flicker open
