- The five wizards amalgamate into a large lich - This is the Lord of Dread Conclave - who speaks in a booming voice about being "The Convergence" - The lich moves towards the transformed Steve, attempting to grapple her. - Through trapped in the form of a mangled creature, she manages to dodge. The lich next attacks Orlan - who avoids a blasted fireball - Qwimby is then hit by an Eldritch Blast - The Lich's body then releases a large pulse that travels through the entire room - Ellette enters into the vortex in the centre of the room, being dragged towards its centre - Ellette is sucked through three layers of the pulsing vortex, being battered by its energy as she passes - Ellette appears to burst into chromatic colours, screaming as she vanishes - The Conclave uses Reverse Gravity, sending us all 40 feet into the air - The Conclave appears to absorb some of the vortex into his body. We see a flash of colours as he does so. The vortex shrinks as a result - The vortex continues to shrink as the battle continues. The Moonblade emerges from it, followed by Ellette, as the portal closes behind her - She holds a cursed lantern in one of her hands - Ellette casts Disintegrate on the lantern - turning it to dust - The lich roars towards her, enraged - The orb of annihilation moves through Graxen, badly damaging his metal arm - Steve is caught in the orb, losing a leg - The Conclave attempts to use Time Stop on Ellette but she uses Magic Mirror to reverse the spell back on the lich - The orb of annihilation moves again, killing both Graxen and Steve - which also disintegrating Steve's remaining leg and Graxen's metal arm at his shoulder. - Steve and Graxen are both downed - Ellette finishes the creature with a blast of Magic Missile - The lich's body explodes upon death, downing both Kyo and Orlan - Orlan dies in the aftermath - Kyo Revivifies Orlan while Ellette stabilises Graxen - Orlan uses Greater Restoration to reattach Graxen's metal arm - Three chests and a bag appear in the corner of the room - The first chest contains 50,000 GP - The second chest contains rare materials - glowing soul infused gems, adamantine and mithril - The third chest contains 15 diamonds and a tome - The bag contains a single ring - The ring - the Fate Forged Ring - immediately latches onto Ellette's hand - There is also a broken metal fragment in the bag - This appears to be a fragment of the phylactery - Graxen picks up this shard, which phases itself into his metal arm. - There is also a tiny shield inside the bag - Orlan lifts this from the bag, it attaches to his own shield - Ellette has also gained an epic boon from her time inside the vortex - Orlan finds a crystalline eye on the ground near where the lich died. It flickers between light and dark, sizzling as he pours holy water on it. He places it inside his jar, keeping it in his backpack - A portal opens behind the chests, which we all enter - leaving the dungeon, and returning to Luskan - Corvath is standing in the main street, appearing shocked as we emerge from the portal - He mentions having seen a darkness lift from the city, the sun is now visible in the sky overhead - He is deeply surprised that we defeated the Conclave - Reading from a scroll, he declares Sordia Vignti "the Bane of the Conclave" - as ordered by the pirate kings - Corvath agrees to seek aid from the kings for both Orlan and Steve - He then grants us the second payment of the 40,000GP - Corvath agrees to meet us back at the keep later - Graxen speaks with Ellette about the guilt they both carry over Barovia and Alexandria respectively - Orlan uses Tongues to allow Steve to speak - We arrive back at the keep - Big Guy approaches us as we arrive, asking for Steve - We tell him about the pirate kings owing us the cure for Steve - this angers him greatly, causing him to storm towards the beach where the pirate king's vessal - Ellette uses Command to "halt" Big Guy, causing him to freeze in place. A single tear rolls down his cheek - He momentarily calms, agreeing to return to his hut but imploring us to cure Steve - The Meep is walking around with a children's colouring book, while Graxen and Ellette convince Nissa to allow Steve's mutated form to stay overnight in their room - A small approaches from the distance, seeming a few hours away - At the breakfast table, all the children stare in horror at Steve - Derrek mentions to Ellette that letters regarding the "Bane of the Conclave" have already spread to important parties - Erin speaks with Graxen and Ellette - attempting to cure Steve. She grows a tiny leaf on Steve's forehead - Ellette next presents the metals gained from defeating the Conclave to Zoltan. He is disturbed by the soul gems, labelling Ellette as insane for touching them with her bare hands. - He claims they are made from people - via unstable soul energy. She next shows him the soul coin gained in Lesterville - He identifies the coin as powering "infernal engines" - Zoltan locks the coin in a small lockbox, claiming he might be able to use it in the creation of infernal engines of his own if we find infernal metals for him - He agrees to store the fine metals won from the Conclave in the meantime - A portal opens nearby, Corvath returns with a cleric - The cleric identifies himself as Jorth - Jorth asks for an area to work, - Steve will cost 20,000GP to cure - Ellette will cost 800GP to de-age - Orlan will cost 10,000GP to return to life from a wright - Qwimby and Kyo will cost 800GP to cure from their aging - Jorth will also need a minimum of 2 diamonds - Orlan steps in, able to perform the de-aging process free of charge instead of paying Jorth to do it - Jorth appears to age as he heals the others - Graxen and Steve introduce Orlan to the goblins while Ellette speaks with Quincy - The next morning, Big Guy charges into the keep - carrying Steve's lifeless body
