- One morning at the keep, a portal opens - releasing a number of demons that instantly begin attacking - Darvin is grabbed by these demons and dragged through the portal. We all give chase - We arrive in a large gladiatorial arena - surrounded by an audience of cheering devils and demons - Asmodeus sits at the highest point, watching - Karissa's armour changing to a golden glow, her broken horn regrowing - A single demon approaches us - Karissa recognises him as Zorthan - He holds a small necklace, with Darvin's soul encased in a gem - He claims to only desire Karissa's service, wishing for the rest of us to leave - He demands a final performance for Asmodeus, "completing the arena" to win Darvin. Should we fail, we remain as servants of Asmodeus - Zorthan holds out a contract, wishing Karissa to sign if she agrees to the terms. - Karissa signs it with her blood - Zothan disappears, followed by a number of portals opening around us. A number of cambions emerge - advancing aggressively - The party rallies around Karissa, engaging the cambions - The party defeats the band of cambions, causing the audience around us to erupt into cheers - A fountain opens in the middle of the arena, Asmodeus gestures towards it - Zothan offering us to drink for refreshment - Karissa steps forward, drinking from the fountain - Her hair bursts into flames, with fire swirling all around her - Kyo drinks - causing him to sneeze sporadically, each one booming and causing deafness to those around him - Ellette drinks - she explodes in fiery energy sporadically - Orlan drinks - he uncontrollably giggles every five minutes - Steve drinks - she causes people around to her to randomly giggle every ten minutes - Graxen drinks - he can ignite a single object in flames - Zorthan announces a surprise, calling forth something we have previously encountered - The Behir Llewd appears in the centre of the arena, accompanied by a bullette - Steve climbs on the bullette's back as she attacks it. It jumps into the air, dislodging her before diving back towards her - The bullette grasps her in its jaws, dragging her below the ground - Ellette uses Reduce on the Behir, shrinking it to a smaller size - Graxen freezes the Behir in place with Blood Curse of Binding - Kyo pounces on the Behir's back as the battle continues - Steve remains underground, being dragged further by the Bullette. - Ellette summons her dragon familiar, Visidira - The Behir seizes Graxen in its jaws, biting down hard and holding him in place - Karissa carves off the Behir's head, cleaving its neck with a vicious swing of her sword - The bullette bursts from the ground, attempting to attack Visidria - Steve still clamped in its jaws - Ellette uses Vortex Warp to free Steve - Kyo finishes the Bullette with a swipe of his claws, having frozen it in place with a cast of Command - The fountain reappears - Karissa drinks, her head shrinking to the size of a watermelon - Graxen drinks, he becomes terrifying to all hostile creatures - Steve drinks, her shoes become sticky and gummy - Orlan drinks, gaining the ability to explode at will - Kyo drinks, gaining a boost to his strength - A huge number of zombies now surround us - Asmodeus stands, pointing to one side of the arena. Jets of fire spill from the wall on the side he indicates, shooting onto the field - As the fight continues, the jets alternate - turning off on the initial side and emitting from the opposite side of the arena - After the army of zombies are defeated, another fountain appears - this one seeming unstable - Kyo drinks, gaining a boon to his next attack - He drinks again, gaining back three 3rd level spell slots - Karissa drinks, gaining the ability to save an ally by taking damage aimed towards them - Asmodeus stands, growling a chant - which calls forth six figures who drag themselves out of the ground. They each mirror us in appearance - Karissa faces a shadowy form of Orlan - Steve faces Ellette - Orlan faces Kyo - Ellette faces Graxen - Graxen faces Karissa - Orlan faces Steve - Graxen breaks away from fighting Shadow Karissa - charging his own shadow form after Ellette renders it prone with Command. In a feral lycanthrope rage, he tears his shadow self apart - Ellette then uses Command to put Shadow Karissa to sleep - Zorthan suddenly tosses the necklace into the arena, causing Darvin to appear on the ground - Karissa dispatches Shadow Orlan, before rushing to Darvin's side - Darvin hugs her leg, causing her to recall lost memories of her parents and a cottage in a far off land - Having been tangled in vines by Kyo, the shadow form of Steve is then torn apart by Graxen - Meanwhile, Steve and Orlan join forces to take down Kyo's shadow - With a forceful swing of her axe, Steve decapitates Shadow Ellette - The audience seem displeased - before a chant of "FIRE WALL" erupts - The group surrounds the shadow Karissa, violently finishing her - After the fight, two fountains appear - One is ivory, while the other is obsidian - Karissa drinks from both - She becomes immune to toxins and diseases and cannot be slowed - The next fountain causes her to glow with what appears to be celestial light - Ellette drinks fom both - She can now see into the ethereal plane and all darkness gains the benefits of a long rest - Steve drinks from both - She can now turn invisible once and cannot be detected by magical means - Orlan drinks from both - He can now cast a first level spell slot for free - Kyo drinks from both - He can turn into a clear mist once - Graxen drinks from both - He gains advantage on wisdom saves - Zorthan jumps into the arena, proclaiming that it is finally his turn. He morphs into a massive demon, before facing us down - Roaring, he summons a large Eldritch dragon - Karissa, Steve and Graxen manage to defeat Zorthan together while Ellette tries to keep Darvin safe - Kyo, aided by Ellette's summoned dragon faces down the eldritch creature - but Visidira is felled by its breath attack - The dragon roars, bringing Zorthan back to his feet - Kyo destroys the eldritch dragon, which causes Zorthan to grow in stature - growing two extra wings - Darvin charges towards Zorthan, demanding that he stop hurting his sister - Holding his hands aloft, he hurls a fireball towards the demon. - Zorthan is almost completely obliterated by this attack - being reduced to his much smaller stature - He asks Karissa to give up her powers in exchange for regaining her memories. She agrees to this - with Zorthan stabbing a dagger into her hand to claim these gifts - Asmodeus enters the arena - destroying Zorthan. He agrees to honour the agreement, however. Karissa's memories come flooding back - A portal opens, bringing us back to the keep. Karissa remembers the exact location of her parents. Hugging Darvin, she announces an intent to leave in search of them with Darvin.
